Computed Tomography (CT)
The CT Laboratory is equipped with an 80-row multi-slice Canon Aquilion Prime SP CT scanner. The Advanced intelligent Clear-IQ Engine (AiCE) functionality provides the highest standard in diagnostics. This is the first CT scanner in Poland with an innovative and groundbreaking reconstruction algorithm based on artificial intelligence (AI) which uses Deep Learning Reconstruction technology and advanced imaging data processing for CT image reconstruction.
The new technological developments used in this CT scanner help the radiologist to obtain the highest quality scans and fast image reconstruction, image corrections, signal-to-noise ratio reductions, and improved spatial resolution.
The Canon Aquilion Prime SP scanner offers a vast range of diagnostic options accompanied by improved patient comfort and safety. The innovative technology reduces the time of the diagnostic procedure and minimizes the patient’s exposure to radiation.
The new CT scanner offers more precise interpretation of the imaging results and can be used for diagnostics of the whole body: the brain, chest, abdominal cavity, heart, or musculoskeletal system. It is also designed for virtual colonoscopy and other angiographic tests. CT scanning is fast, painless, non-invasive, and accurate.
A CT scan is only performed if justified by medical reasons.
If you have had CT imaging before, please bring the results of your previous tests with you (CDs and examination reports). Please also inform us about any hypersensitivity to the contrast agents or other medical conditions (affecting the thyroid or kidneys or creatinine levels).
Please make an appointment by telephone or in person at the Hospital’s Reception Desk.
The procedures are covered by National Health Fund (NFZ) insurance or paid for by the patients.
